Group - Category Farm & Ranch - Warmblood Stallion
Lead Valentino Z
1996 Belgian WB Bay Stallion 16.1 h. Darco x Jade Du Marais DD - Feo Westfalen NA Book 1 Stands at: Rising Star Farm Valentino Z is a son of Darco, without doubt one of the best sport stallions in history. Under Ludo Phillipaerts, Darco was 6th in the WC in Stockholm 1990, and 7th in the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992. Darco consistently passes on his jumping talent to his offspring. More than forty registered offspring in the Breeding Guide for international jumpers turns Darco into one of the most influential stallions of all time, including the ranking of #1 showjumping sire in 2008. Damsire Feo de Lauzelle produced a range of international jumpers including It’s Me, Miss Flo and Tiramisu. The mother line of Valentino Z includes the French stallions Iveday (Night and Day xx) and Quastor (Ibrahim) and the mare Une Page (Quest France – Fra Diavolo xx). Une Page was the grandmother of the French stallions Lotus du Marais (Nankin), Leopard du Marais (Silver Matal xx) and Ouragan du Marais (Hadj A). Night and Day XX was the sire of Primo des Bruyeres, who in turn sired Olympic Jus de Pomme. Valentino Z brings a very exciting pedigree to North America! Valentino Z has gone back into the show ring with great results! Packing his amateur owner, Valentino Z brings home blue ribbons as well as placing in the money in the $5000 Jumper Classic with Rick Harris. Valentino Z was owned by Stud Zangersheide and ridden by Judy Ann Melchior and Edouard Mathe. Welcome to the 2018 Westfalen NA Stallion Service Auction. Bids Open at 9 a.m. Eastern Wednesday Feb 21st and close at 8 p.m. Eastern on Sunday March 4th, 2018. Opening bids are set at $500 for Warmblood stallions, $300 for Stallions available with 1 dose of Frozen Semen, and $250 for pony stallions, and the bidding will go up in $25 increments. Each Stallion's listing has important information regarding the terms of the stallion service donation - whether Fresh Cooled Shipped semen or Frozen, Collection and Shipping fees, etc. Please make sure to read carefully through all of the Stallion's information before bidding and visit the stallion owner's website/contact the stallion owner with any questions before you bid. Register to bid by clicking on Login/New Bidder at the top right of the page, or you can also click on the green Bidding button, and that will bring you to the sign-up screen. You will then select "Click Here if You are a New Bidder" and follow the instructions on the screen to set up your username and password. If you've already registered to bid for one of our auctions just enter your username and password. If you need help signing up or have any questions please contact the Stallion Service Auction Manager Ann Daum Kustar at 1-605-685-3089 or email Bids can NOT be retracted, so it is imperative that you are sure of your bids before they are placed. Note - The auction lots begin closing at 8 p.m. Eastern Sunday March 4th. Each lot closes 1 minute after the lot before. Each lot is set to finish with a Soft Close - which means that if a bid is placed on a stallion in the last 2 minutes of the auction, the time on that lot will extend by another 2 minutes. This is to discourage automated sniper programs, which swoop in with a bid in the last seconds of an auction, faster than human reaction time. Remember you can place a Max Bid by highlighting over the next bid amount and entering the amount you are willing to pay for the stallion service. The program will bid only up as far as it has to to keep you the high bidder - just like in Ebay. Other bidders won't see your maximum bid. Winning bidders will be notified by e-mail at the close of the auction. Please check your e-mail for notification of a win or loss. You must then make payment via paypal, credit card, check or money order to Westfalen NA within seven days from the end of the auction. The Westfalen NA is auctioning a donated stallion service contract provided by the Owner shown. Bidders are hereby notified to direct inquiries about this stallion service and any contract issues to the Owner listed. The winning bidder agrees to abide by terms of the stallion owner's Breeding Contract. Make sure that you familiarize yourself with the specific details for the contract of the stallion you are interested in. If you have any questions about the stallion himself, the additional fees, the duration of the contract, etc., contact the stallion owner directly. Be sure that you know exactly what you are bidding on. Stallions are all activated for the 2018 season with Westfalen NA unless otherwise noted. Stallions which are not activated require an additional fee for foal registration at time of inspection. All stallions Stud Book status are listed as either Stud Book I, II or IIA (eligible for upgrade into Stud Book I after performance results). The Westfalen NA registry represents the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. in North America. The breed-name for foals registered with us in Germany as well as in North America is Westfalen or Deutsches Reitpony. Foals registered with Westfalen NA get German passports. You can learn more about these services in the following sections. HIBID INTERNET AUCTION PLATFORM & WEB SERVICE DESCRIPTION Sebae provides the HiBid (formerly Bidopia) Internet Auction Platform & Web Service ("HWS") under the HiBid trademark as a software solution for auctioneers wishing to extend the audience of their live auctions to the internet. The HWS provides various features including internet absentee bidding, internet-only auctions, and webcast auctions.  The HWS is able to changes its appearance to coincide with the website that it is powering. Accordingly, the HWS powers the website as well as numerous Auction Flex customer websites. This ability to change appearance is a feature of the HWS. Much like internet merchant account providers can host a secure web page for a vendor to easily process payments, the HWS hosts certain portions of the auctioneer's website to easily enable advanced features such as internet bidding.  INTERNET ABSENTEE BIDDING Internet absentee bidding allows you to place a bid for an item in advance of an auction. This allows you to place bids on lots without actually attending the auction. INTERNET-ONLY AUCTIONS Internet only bidding allows you to place a bid for an item prior to the auction lot closing online. In an internet-only auction there is no live auction. WEBCAST AUCTIONS Webcast auctions allow you to bid in real-time against other bidders or place pre-bids prior to a lot going "live". Lots are sold in accordance with the Auctioneer's terms and conditions which are accessible from each lot's page. It is your responsibility to read and accept the Auctioneer's terms and conditions prior to placing your bid. When you place a bid you are agreeing to be bound by the Auctioneer's & Sebae's terms and conditions. By placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding and enforceable contract. Please keep in mind that you are bidding against other internet bidders as well as floor bidders, phone bidders, and regular absentee bidders (this list does not constitute a complete list of bidder types but does highlight the common bidder channels). The auctioneer, at their discretion, can approve or deny bidders. The auctioneer reserves the right to accept or deny bidders for any reason. Prior to approval the auctioneer may contact you to determine your credit worthiness. If the auctioneer approves your bid, the auctioneer will then process your bid in accordance with their terms and conditions. Should your bid for a lot prove successful, the auctioneer may contact you to arrange for payment & shipping (if applicable). If the auctioneer required registration via a credit card, the auctioneer reserves the right to process your winning bids to the credit card provided during registration. Sebae, through the Auction Flex & HiBid products & services, facilitates the internet bidding process between the Auctioneer & the bidder. Sebae is in no way a party to the transaction. Because Sebae is not a party to the transaction, you accept that you will have no claim or cause of action against Sebae in respect of the sale (or non-sale) of any Lot. If you have a dispute with an Auctioneer or another user of the Service with regard to the sale (or non-sale) of any Lot you agree that Sebae, its officers, agents, employees will not be liable for losses (including, but not limited to, loss of profits, special loss, indirect loss and consequential los), costs, damages, liabilities, claims, demands and expenses of any kind arising out of or connected with such dispute. Making bids with false information or with stolen credit card information is prohibited and illegal. Your user name and password are required in order to place internet bids. Making bids in a false name or with an invalid or stolen credit card is prohibited. Each bid carries the computer coding of the Internet provider which allows the individual user to be traced and Sebae may at its discretion release this information to enable legal action to be taken. Sebae may, in its entire discretion, refuse or remove bids where it suspects that bids contravene this prohibition. By placing a bid, you are making a binding and irrevocable offer to purchase the Item at any price up to the maximum bid amount you submit. If you win, you must complete the transaction, subject to any contractual right or other right at law to rescind the contract in certain circumstances. Failure to complete transaction without lawful reason is not only a breach of your contract with the Seller but also a breach of this User Agreement. The amount bid can be increased but cannot be decreased. The auctioneer may, at their discretion, allow you to withdraw and resubmit a bid in the case of bids containing an obvious typographical error. You may forward a request to withdraw a bid and resubmit a correct bid by immediately sending an email to the auctioneer, however, there is no guarantee that any bid will be withdrawn. THE WINNING BID The winning bid in an auction will be the highest bid that exceeds any reserve (if a reserve exists). In the case of equal bids, the earliest bid received will be the winning bid. If a higher bid is subsequently withdrawn or removed then the auctioneer shall have the right to accept the next highest bid. NOTICE OF END OF SALE, PAYMENT & SHIPPING After the sale has ended, the auctioneer will notify the winning bidder via phone, fax or mail that they have won. If you do not receive notice that you have made the winning bid and think that you are the top bidder, you should check with the auctioneer directly. You will make all payment for Items to the auctioneer in accordance with their terms and conditions. BUYER'S PREMIUM, TAXES AND DUTIES If you are a successful bidder, you are responsible for paying any buyer's premium, taxes and duties (including any VAT, sales tax and import duties) that may be imposed on the final price paid for an Item. Accordingly, it is your responsibility to check the applicable taxes and duties that may be imposed on an Item prior to bidding for it.
